PRIMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS OPEN POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Initiate take off on all general condition jobs associated with new GC opportunities
  • Solicit bids from vendors for products and labor associated with each general condition product
  • Submit bids to GC after consultation with GM
  • Assist in the completion of all submittals and close out paperwork for jobs
  • Assist Project Manager with the installation of the products and services at job locations
  • Set up new vendor relationships and negotiate price guarantees
  • Negotiate new labor subcontractor contracts for installation of products supplied by us
  • Assist GM in the development of new business avenues
  • Complete any other task as assigned by GM
  • Provide weekly status update on the progress made with each project
  • Review specs/drawings and bid forms
  • Assign tasks to Jr. Estimators
  • Do takeoffs
  • Send out quote requests to vendors
  • Write RFI’s/substitution requests
  • Review vendor quotes for scope/exclusions/delivery fees/engineering fees
  • Prepare bid forms/sales quotes
  • Send quotes to customers
  • Follow up with bids
  • Attend kick off meetings with Project Manager

  • College Degree and/or minimum of five years field supervisory experience required
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills
  • Basic building construction knowledge preferred or experience in carpentry or dry wall installation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • A valid driver’s license

Required education:

  • Bachelor's Degree In Related Field

Required experience:

  • Estimating: 2 years
